What are some fun fall events near Erie in 2026?

Fall doesn't have to be all raking leaves and getting the house ready for winter. There are plenty of reasons to put the chores aside for an afternoon! Whether you're taking the kids or grandkids, meeting friends, or getting to know a new town, here are a few local outings to put on your calendar.

Erie — Boo! on Briggs Street

Downtown Erie is getting dressed up for Halloween. Boo! on Briggs Street brings trick-or-treating, a family costume contest, music and face painting to Briggs Street. It's a fun excuse to pull out the costumes before Halloween night and spend an afternoon downtown.

    • When: Saturday, October 24, 2026, 3–6 p.m.
    • Where: Briggs Street in downtown Erie
    • Admission: Free for all ages; check the event page for costume-contest details.
    • A little extra good: Erie Uplink will be collecting donations for its Tiger Packs program, which supports local students. They are requesting boxed mac and cheese donations which can be dropped off at their booth.

See Erie's official event listing and Boo! on Briggs Street details.

Longmont — A Floating Pumpkin Patch

    • Where: Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road
    • Cost: $15 per pumpkin picker. Adults are free and do not register.
    • Before you go: Space is limited. Registration opens September 15 at 10 a.m. and closes October 17 at 3 p.m. Children ages five and under must have an adult age 16 or older in the water.
