Thinking About Moving in 2027? Why Fall Is the Time to Start Planning

Should I start planning now if I'm moving in 2027?

Yes. If moving in 2027 is even a possibility, this fall is the right time to start. The easiest decisions to make now are the ones that get much harder under a deadline:

    • Which home improvement projects are actually worth doing before listing
    • What your home may realistically be worth in today's market
    • How much equity you have to work with
    • Whether it makes sense to sell before you buy

None of that requires committing to anything. It simply means that when you're ready, you're deciding from information instead of pressure.

Why should I take exterior photos of my home in the fall?

Because Colorado's winter landscape doesn't help a home put its best foot forward. Once the leaves are gone and the lawn goes dormant, exterior photos look bare — and those are the first images a buyer sees online.

If there's any chance you'll sell this winter or next spring, get exterior photos now while everything still looks good. The photos sit in a folder until you need them.

I'm scheduling complimentary fall exterior photos for anyone considering a move next year. If you'd like your home on the list, let me know by September 23 so my photographer can get there before the end of the month. There's no obligation — we'll simply have the photos ready if you need them.
